Listen to the Voices of the Poets

When we launched Voices of Tacoma: A Gathering of Poets in October 2024, we had many of the poets who joined us at the simultaneous events held at three Tacoma Library Branch locations (Fern Hill, Mottet, and South Tacoma).

Tacoma Public Library staff recorded these poets reading their work. Subsequently we were able to get recordings of some of the poets also reading their work. Now those recordings are being made available to all - so enjoy!

Different forms of self are apparent in my art. My visual art is closely tied to my process of writing poetry, and these two forms of expression are considered the same child in my mind; not a closely related phenomenon, but an alternate form of the same creation.
