About the event

Workshop content includes:

An overview of different publishing models — self-publishing/entrepreneurial, traditional publishing, and hybrid publishing — and the costs and benefits of each route.

A breakdown of essential components of book production, including book development, editorial, design, printing, marketing, and sales.

Suggested timelines and budgets for publishing a book.

Workshop zine that includes all workshop content, reference material, and suggested media for continued publishing education.

Participants will receive a book on publishing, a workshop zine for developing their own projects, a resource list, and a few other goodies from Blue Cactus Press. A light brunch will be served with gluten free and vegan options available. Where: New BCP Office. UWT Campus, Tioga Building Room 105, 1901 Jefferson Ave

When: Saturday, October 28th. 9am-12pm

Different forms of self are apparent in my art. My visual art is closely tied to my process of writing poetry, and these two forms of expression are considered the same child in my mind; not a closely related phenomenon, but an alternate form of the same creation.
